By using research-based strategies combining appropriate levels of dominance and cooperation and an awareness of student needs, teachers can build positive classroom dynamics.
Whole Brain Teaching
created by Chris Biffle
One of my favorite approaches, Whole Brain Teaching, is a great system when used with the research in mind. It is adaptable for many age groups, and pairs hand motions and call backs. Any and all Classroom Management approaches work best when reviewed DAILY for the first 2-4 weeks of a teacher implementation(even when starting later in the year), and periodically after that. Perhaps any time a new student is added to a class would be a great time to review expectations AND teach the new student what is expected.
